السلام عليكم

طبعا فى كلمات كتيرة فى اللغة الانجليزية بتكون متشابهة فى النطق أو فى كتابتها وأحيانا نتلخبط بينهم

حنعرف مع بعض الكلمات المتشابهة اللى ممكن نتلخبط فيها

وياريت كل اللى عنده كلمات بيتلخبط بينها او مش عارف الفرق بينهم يشاركنا ونعرفها مع بعض

Differences between similar words

1-Accept and Except

Accept =يقبل او يوافق


مثال:

I accepted my friend's invitation وافقت على دعوة صديقى

My offer was immediately accepted لقد قبل عرضى على الفور

He asked her to marry him, and she accepted لقد طلب منها الزواج فوافقت

Except is a preposition that means "excluding

1-Except هى حرف جر تعنى =ماعدا

مثال

I know everyone except him اعرف الجميع ماعدا هو

He bought a gift for everyone except me لقد اشترى هدايا للجميع ماعدا أنا

Except is a conjunction that means "other than " or "if not for the fact that

2-ايضا except هى اداة ربط او عطف بمعنى" اذا لم يكن " او "غير"

مثال

I'll come tomorrow , except I am busy سآتى غدا إلا لو كنت مشغولا

He never calls me except for borrowing money لا يتصل بى إلا للاقتراض

Except may come as a verb means exclude

3-Except قد تأتى كفعل معناه "يستثنى"

مثال

Children are excepted from these rules يستثنى الاطفال من هذه القواعد

Affect is a verb means to have an influence on, or contribute to a change

Affect هى فعل بمعنى "يؤثر على " او " يتأثر ب "

مثال

What you do affects all of us ما فعلته أثر بنا كلنا

This decision will affect the outcome of the elections سيؤثر هذا القرار على نتيجة الانتخابات

I was profoundly affected by this movie لقد تأثرت بشدة بهذا الفيلم

In psychology, affect is a noun which refers to a "feeling" or "emotion"

Affect تأتى كاسم بمعنى :عاطفة او احساس

مثال

Effect is most commonly used as a noun means result, something brought about by someone or something

Effect هى اسم بمعنى " اثر" او "تأثير" او "انطباع" او "نتيجة"

مثال

What was the effect of her decision? ما تأثير قرارها

I don't think it will have any effect on the outcome لا اعتقد ان لذلك تأثير على النتيجة

Mirrors will give the effect of a larger space المرايا تعطى انطباعا بمكان اوسع

قد تشير الى الممتلكات الشخصية

Effect كفعل تعنى " تؤدى الى"

يمكن استخام affect , effect بنفس المعنى ولكن :
Affect :فعل
effect :اسم
